Melissa has been serving in pro-life ministry since 1995. She has served as founder, executive director, client services director, board member and volunteer at centers around the world. Through the ministry of Beautiful Feet International, Melissa has founded 4 pregnancy centers in Costa Rica, 2 in Mexico and has plans to open a center in Togo, West Africa in 2015. She regularly takes teams to these centers for training and ministry. These centers are staffed by trained national volunteers.
Melissa has developed a comprehensive educational curriculum for pregnancy centers. Growing Together is designed to be used by volunteer counsellors as they help clients throughout their pregnancies and beyond. It is comprised of 95 individual lessons written by various experts. Lessons include, fetal development, parenting, breastfeeding, Bible study and much more. Melissa Heiland has drawn upon her 21 years in pregnancy center ministry in the U.S. and internationally to create this curriculum.
Melissa has written two devotional books to help new and expectant mothers. A Mother's Journey focuses on the expectant mother's journey and the growth of the baby nestled within her. A Mother's Comfort is for mother's in the first year of their baby's life. These books are available in English and Spanish, with plans to translate into other languages as well.
Powered by Passion, Melissa is passionate about her work saving babies and ministering to their mothers. She has worked with domestic and international centers toward this end.
